NEW MOUNT CHANGES
|
Mount costs, level requirements, and speed changes
Blizzard has made major changes to when you can buy your mounts, and how much they cost when you do. All of the mounts nowl have their level requirements reduced: Regular land mounts will now train at level 20, epic land mounts are trainable at level 40, regular flying mounts can be trained at level 60, and epic flying can now be trained at level 70. This means that you'll be riding at an epic speed from level 40, and you'll be able to train flying mounts at level 60 (so you'll be able to ride around Outland with a flying mount from the first time you step in there. Here are the full details on all of the riding skills and their new costs.
Apprentice Riding (Skill 75)
60% land mount speed Requires level 20 Cost: 4 gold Mount cost: 1 gold Mail will be sent to players at level 20 guiding them to the riding trainer Journeyman Riding (Skill 150)
100% land mount speed Requires level 40 Cost: 50 gold Mount cost: 10 gold Mail will be sent to players at level 40 guiding them back to the riding trainer Expert Riding (Skill 225)
150% flying mount speed; 60% land mount speed Requires level 60 Cost: 600 gold (faction discounts now apply) Mount Cost: 50 gold Can now be learned in Honor Hold (Alliance) or Thrallmar (Horde) Artisan Riding (Skill 300)
280% flying mount speed; 100% land mount speed Requires level 70 Cost: 5,000 gold (faction discounts now apply) Mount Cost: 100 gold
Cold Weather Flying will remain unchanged, so you will still have to have your first character get to level 77 before training to fly in Northrend. However, the Tome of Cold Weather Flying will be able to be purchased at level 80, and will allow your alts, level 68 or higher on the same server and faction, to fly around Northrend as they level up. So you'll only have to level through Northrend on foot once.
Travel abilities for various classes (the Druid, Shaman, and Hunter travel forms, as well as the Paladin and Warlock mounts) have also had their stats adjusted. The various spells will be available at level 16, and the mounts will match regular mounts above in speed and level requirements.
As you can see, Blizzard has majorly streamlined travel time by mount. Additionally, they've lowered the casting time on both flying and ground mounts, from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds. So it'll take you less time to get moving as well. |

NEW HORDE ONLY MOUNT
|
It seems that if u go to Mor'vek in Un'goro Crater he will give you a daily quest to get splashed by ravesaur poison 20 times
Once that one's done, you get a ravasaur pet that gives you a daily quest.
Today, I got one to feed it 15 fresh dinosaur meat from various dinos in the crater.
Each daily gives you a raptor baby tooth.
20 baby raptor teeth, 20 runecloth, 20 rugged leather and 80g gets you the mount.
It seems that you only get splashed if you are HITTING the revasaurs. this could be a problem for high level toons I would suggest un-equiping your gear and bring a super low level weapon, since your unarmed will likely be high, you don't want to kill them off too fast, at least that's how its working on the PTR. |

OK so this isn't really WOW news but look up "project natal" videos on the net and I bet you'll be saying wow.
"Last month at E3, everyone was talking about "Project Natal", the code name for Microsoft's controller-less camera technology for the Xbox 360 game console. When asked if the technology could come to the PC as well, Microsoft execs wouldn't commit saying only that they were just talking about the Xbox 360's uses during E3.
Well, no less than Microsoft founder Bill Gates has blown Project Natal's Xbox 360 exclusivity. News.com reports that Gates has confirmed that they are bringing the gesture-based technology to Windows as well. Gates is quoted as saying, "Both the Xbox guys and the Windows guys latched onto that and now even since they latched onto it the idea of how it can be used in the office is getting much more concrete, and is pretty exciting."
Office use, Bill? We are betting that when Project Natal tech does come to Windows we will see some PC game apps as well."
This opens up a world of home computing and gaming possibilities that are almost beyond imagining, yeah, I'm A geek, and I'm stoked about this :-) |

News about the Warcraft Movie
|
Ain't It Cool News has uncovered one helluva juicy tidbit; one that has more or less came out of nowhere.
Sam Raimi is set to direct the World of Warcraft movie.
This news is coming out right before the San Diego ComicCon, which begins this week. According to Ain't It Cool News, the story should be hitting the trades later this week or next (Trades are daily papers in Hollywood about the latest goings on, more business than gossip news).
Raimi is best known for directing all the recent Spiderman works and cult horror films. This likely means that a movie announcement is not far off – perhaps BlizzCon?
Here are the best three words of this news: Bruce Campbell cameo. There better be one.
Here is the latest Press release involving the Warcraft Movie
